Garvey by Alvaro Barrington is the first digital iteration of the artist's expansive, multi-year project named for Jamaican political activist and global Pan-Africanist leader Marcus Garvey. The website is an open forum engaging various communities—among them the Caribbean community, artists, collectors, and Black women—around themes of Black cultural production and celebration, specifically Carnival.
